comfort of home

So this year I have been just about everywhere but home.  A lot of weekend trips: Baltimore, Ocean City, Atlantic City, Niagra Falls, and Pittsburgh. 11 days in Aruba and  I just got back from a week in Iceland. I love to travel but it also makes me appreciate home more. I love everything about our home and the comforts it provides.

Upon returning from Iceland I got sick, I know big surpirse for anyone that really knows me, I get sick alot. I could not wait to come home this trip and be warm in my own home. I love my huge king sized bed, comfy couch, soft blankies, bowtie bear (of course he went, but he wanted to be home too), warm soup (Soup’s On or Panera), and some clean hoodies. When I am sick I have to have my hood up makes me feel better. I think It might because Mike does that when he is sick. Ha ha this wins the side of Nature Vs. Nuture.  I have began to take Vitamin C tablets, I know I am a nurse and should take better care of myself so I am giving this a try.

Now that it is getting cold I think I am going to S.L.O.W. down too. I go on these “manic” kicks and want to do everything and anything. I am going to look for a more happy medium this winter, which is also cause I do love to hibernate in the winter!

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”-  Mark Twain

So does anyone have any home remedies to help with sinus problems & feeling crappy? Any corky things you do when you are sick?

Ok enough of the random thoughts about traveling and being sick, Peace out!

I hear the Netty Pot is the most amazing thing on the planet for sinus issues. I have never tried it though. You can get one from CVS or Walgreens I hear.
