locally grown

Now that summer is almost over I finally got my lazy butt out and went to a local produce stand. I have been eyeing one on Old Penn Ave on my runs. It is just past Guthrie Pine City. A little stand with a bunch of selections and good prices. So I went today to get a green pepper $0.50 What a deal they are $1.99/lb at Tops. I bought 1/2 dozen for corn for $2.50 and quart of peaches for $3.50.   I am eating a peach as I am typing and it is  Delicious! I will be making the corn tonight so I will let you know. Check out this nice little stand and by some fresh fruits and veggies before it’s too late and the snow starts falling.

On Thursdays in Windsor Park in Elmira  10-2 (June through September) Farmers Market, with fresh fruits, veggies, homemade pastries, fresh cut flowers, and crafts.
